The JL Ambassador 1016S21-FX2™ fire rated semi-recessed 10 lb. fire extinguisher cabinet features cold rolled steel door, trim, and tub construction with a white powder coat finish.  Designed for semi-recessed wall installations requiring storage for 2.5 lb., 5 lb., or 10 lb. fire extinguishers.  This cabinet is ADA compliant when properly configured and installed.  The cabinet door is attached with a continuous hinge and equipped with a zinc plated handle and roller catch.  All models have 1-3/4" trim on face and door. The cabinet and standard zinc handle protrude 2-1/8" from the surface.  The tub is constructed of cold rolled steel with white powder coat finish standard.  This Fire-FX2™ model is part of a tested fire-rated assembly for up to 2 hours when properly installed.

The ambassador series 1016 comes with a standard pull handle and can be replaced with a Futura “Fire” Handle Cast Aluminum or chrome pull handle (optional above) or the ADAC Recessed Pull Handle (optional above).

Fire-Rating:  The recessed and semi-recessed Fire-FX2™ cabinets are tested to maintain fire-rated wall barriers for up to 2 hours, in accordance with ANSI/UL 1479 (ASTM E814 and ULC/CAN S115) for membrane and penetration firestops.  Installation instructions must be strictly adhered to in order to obtain the fire rating.  The installation of any fire-rated cabinet which lacks a cabinet door, or any condition in which the door is left ajar, will void the fire rating.

Important Replacement Parts Notice: On fire rated fire extinguisher cabinets, only the door and door hardware are field replaceable.  The tub and trim are part of the tested fire rated assembly and are not field replaceable, as replacing either component would void the fire-rating certification. If the tub or trim is damaged, the complete cabinet must be replaced to maintain the fire rating.
