The Ambassador 8116-FX2™ Fire-Rated series is a durable, attractive steel cabinet with powder coat finish that stands up to conditions in commercial buildings Door and Trim are cold rolled steel with white powder coated finish. The cabinet doors are attached with a continuous hinge and equipped with zinc-plated handle and roller catch. All models have 1-1/2" square trim protruding from the surface. The door is a Vertical Duo Style of clear acrylic glass. Cabinet comes with ADAC Pull Handle. Semi-Recessed Cabinet and handle protrude 1-1/2" from the surface. The tub is constructed of cold rolled steel with white powder coat finish standard. Tub forms a flange to cover cut edges of wallboard material. Fire-resistant material is attached to the exterior of the tub.

Fire-Rating: The recessed and semi-recessed Fire-FX2™ cabinets are tested to maintain one and two hour fire-rated wall barriers, in accordance with ANSI/UL-1479 (ASTM E814 and ULC/CAN S115) for membrane and penetration firestrops. Installation instructions must be strictly adhered to in order to obtain the fire rating. The installation of any fire-rated cabinet which lacks a cabinet door or a condition in which the door is left ajar, will void the fire rating.
