The Ambassador Steel Fire-Rated 1016F10-FX2™ is a durable, attractive steel cabinet with powder coat finish that stands up to conditions in commercial buildings. Door and trim are cold rolled steel with white powder coated finish. The cabinet doors are attached with a continuous hinge and equipped with zinc-plated handle and roller catch. All models have 1-3/4" trim on face and door. The door comes with full panel of clear acrylic glass. Semi-Recessed Cabinet protrudes 1-1/2" from the surface and the handle protrudes an additional 5/8". The double tub is constructed of cold rolled steel with white powder coat finish standard. The tub forms a flange to cover cut edges of wallboard material. Fire-resistant material is sandwiched between the layers of steel.

The ambassador series 1016 comes with a standard pull handle and can be replaced with a Futura “Fire” Handle Cast Aluminum (optional above) or the ADAC Recessed Pull Handle (optional above). There is a lead-time added to the order when the ADAC Recessed Pull Handle is added to the cabinet.

Fire-Rating: The recessed and semi-recessed Fire-FX2™ cabinets are tested to maintain one and two hour fire-rated wall barriers, in accordance with ANSI/UL-1479 (ASTM E814 and ULC/CAN S115) for membrane and penetration firestrops. Installation instructions must be strictly adhered to in order to obtain the fire rating. The installation of any fire-rated cabinet which lacks a cabinet door or a condition in which the door is left ajar, will void the fire rating. The 1016F10-FX2 comes with clear acrylic glazing standard.  The 1016F17-FX2 comes with clear tempered glass glazing (optional above)
