The JL Nebula 270 1-¾ gal water mist non-magnetic MRI fire extinguisher is
manufactured with a non-magnetic stainless steel cylinder and a stainless steel
misting nozzle designed for safe performance in sensitive environments. It
comes standard with a stainless steel wall-mount J-hook. Mounting Bracket
MB810NM
(optional above). This extinguisher
is designed for Class A and Class C fires.
This water mist fire
extinguisher is constructed entirely from non-magnetic materials and is
third-party tested MR Conditional for use in MRI facilities up to 11.7 Tesla,
making it suitable for placement in and around MRI rooms where magnetic safety
is required. The fine deionized water mist discharge pattern (use FE670 to
fill and charge) is non-conductive, allowing it to safely suppress energized
electrical fires (Class C) without transferring electrical current.
The deionized water mist also evaporates quickly and leaves no chemical
residue, making it an excellent choice for environments where cleanliness and
equipment protection are priorities, such as imaging suites, operating rooms,
cleanrooms, telecommunication facilities, and laboratories.
This type of
extinguisher is recommended for Class A fires where a potential Class C
(electrical) hazard may also be present. Because of the high level of safety
required in medical imaging areas, the JL Nebula 270 meets NFPA 10 standards and
is UL listed to UL8 and UL711.
Units ship empty and require filling and charging
prior to being placed into service. Use deionized water FE670 for proper
charging. Optional non-magnetic mounting brackets are available for MRI
room compliance where required.
