No Drilling Required Grab Bar Surface Preparation and Installation Requirements

When installed correctly on a manufacturer-approved surface that is solid, flat, clean, and dry, the adhesive mounting system is designed to provide a secure grab bar installation without drilling.
Proper surface preparation is essential. Review these requirements and the manufacturer’s complete Installation Instructions before ordering or installing the grab bar.
Approved Mounting Surfaces
The no drilling required adhesive mounting system is tested and recommended for:
- Natural stone
- Tile
- Glass
- Metal
- Concrete
The mounting surface must be solid, flat, clean, dry, and able to provide complete contact with both mounting adapters.

The manufacturer has not tested the adhesive mounting system on:

- Corian
- Cultured marble
- Other solid-surface resin materials
Because these surfaces have not been tested, the manufacturer cannot confirm that the adhesive mounting system is suitable for them.
Surfaces Not Recommended
The manufacturer does not recommend the adhesive mounting system for:
- Acrylic
- Fiberglass
- Plastic
Use a conventional mechanical anchoring option for these surfaces.
Cleaning and Surface Preparation
The mounting area must be completely free of soap deposits, scale, spotting, wax, sealants, construction debris, cleaner residue, and other surface coatings.
Clean the mounting area with a light abrasive cleaner, such as Soft Scrub. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water, dry the surface, and inspect it carefully.
If normal cleaning does not remove heavy deposits, use 320-grit wet/dry abrasive paper on the mounting area as recommended by the manufacturer. Rinse, dry, and inspect the surface again after sanding.
Use the supplied alcohol cleaning wipe only after completing the required cleaning and surface preparation. Do not begin installation until the mounting surface is completely clean and dry.

After injecting the adhesive, do not move, press, or otherwise disturb the mounting adapters. Do not attach the grab bar to the adapters until the adhesive has cured for a full 24 hours.

The mounting adapters are intended for one installation. A new adhesive mounting kit is required if the grab bar must be reinstalled.
Warranty and Replacement Adhesive Kits
The no drilling required grab bar and flanges are covered by the manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover adhesive failure caused by an unsuitable surface, inadequate surface preparation, installation errors, or failure to follow the manufacturer’s Installation Instructions.
