The Victory Fire & Gas 2600075 AVD large lithium-ion battery fire blanket is designed for use with lithium-ion battery fire incidents involving larger equipment, including cars, forklift trucks and bulk handling equipment.

The blanket measures 6000 x 8000 mm and is manufactured from woven high-silica glass fiber with a fully oxidized base fabric and proprietary refractory surface coatings.  This construction is designed to withstand the severe and prolonged temperatures associated with lithium-ion battery fires.

The AVD Large Battery Fire Blanket has a working temperature greater than 1000 °C / 1832 °F and has been independently tested for effective prolonged use at temperatures up to 1400 °C / 2552 °F. It has also been tested for multi-use on multiple battery fires up to 840 Wh.

Lithium-ion batteries can generate their own oxygen during thermal runaway, so a battery fire may continue to burn underneath a fire blanket. The blanket should only be deployed when it is safe to do so and by personnel who have read and understand the supplied AVD Fire Blanket User Guide.
