Cal-Royal Hotel Privacy Door Latch HPDL258 is recommend for use in
environments with corridor to room openings like hotels, dormitories, apartments
and private residences. This security door latch allows the door to be partially opened while
providing privacy for the resident. The silicone pads provide additional
protection for the door and acts as a silencer.
The HPDL is UL Classified as a fire door accessory. This security door latch
meets the NFPA
requirements 80 5.2.13.3 and NFPA 80 5.2.4.2(9) that require auxiliary hardware
to not interfere or prohibit the proper operation of fire doors and that doors
are not blocked or wedged in the open position.
