The Babcock-Davis BRHRT Thermally Broken Retrofit Roof Hatch works with existing roofing
systems and attaches quickly and easily to existing curbs. Save time and labor
costs with this easily installed retrofit roof hatch. Low profile
4-inch curb and safety railing ready. Thermally Efficient Roof hatch is designed
with a thermal break to keep cool-cool and hot-hot, this hatch boasts an R-20
insulation rating making it today’s most energy efficient hatch.
Constructed of 11 gauge Aluminum -
Mill Finish. Formed metal cover with liner, stiffened to
withstand a live load of 40psf with a max deflection of 1/150 the span. 4’’ tall
curb with Stainless steel mounting clips. Installation is 1 inch polyiso
R-6 in curb, 1 inch polystyrene in cover. Optional 3 inch single layer foil
faced polyiso in curb and cover; R-20.3 Extruded EPDM adhesive-backed gasket
seal continuous around cover. The Hold-Open Arm is Zinc-plated steel
automatic hold open arm locks cover in open position. Zinc-plated steel latch
with exterior and interior turn handles and padlock hasps. Gas-spring with
damper & coil type spring in telescopic tubes for smooth controlled lift
assistance. Heavy-duty pintle hinge with stainless steel hinge pin.
